Use the Lightning to HDMI Digital AV Adapter with your iPad with Retina display, iPad mini, iPhone 5 and later, and iPod touch (5th generation and later) featuring a Lightning connector. The adapter is compatible with apps like YouTube, Chrome, Facebook, and VLC Media Player. However, it does not support apps with HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) video copyright protection, such as Netflix, Amazon Video, HBO Go, Hulu, SKY Q, and Honda Motor.
The adapter does not require an external power supply, but you can connect an apple lighting charging cable to keep your phone battery charged
